Emmerdale fans left shocked as they discover Nate Robinson actor starred in Christmas ad

Emmerdale star Jurell Carter, who played Nate Robinson, has had a successful career since leaving the ITV soap

Emmerdale fans were gobsmacked to discover that Nate Robinson actor Jurell Carter was the voice behind a popular Christmas advert.

Jurell, who waved goodbye to the ITV soap in September, has kept fans on their toes with his character recently taking centre stage in a spine-tingling plot twist.

The latest episodes saw a limo plunge into an icy lake, leading to the tragic deaths of Amy Wyatt, Suzy Merton, and Leyla Harding.

Before her death in the hospital, Amy was caught in the chilling waters, where she stumbled upon another corpse and attempted to alert her family, hinting it might be Nate.

As viewers are left hanging about the corpse’s identity and speculations rise that it could be Nate, everyone’s itching to know what Jurell has been up to since his days in the Dales.

In a November Instagram post, Jurell dropped the bombshell that he lent his voice to Sephora’s festive adverts, much to the amazement of fans, especially as he used an American accent for the gig.

He shared snippets of the ads, captioning: “Had the pleasure of voicing the new @sephora Christmas ads”. Fans and Jurell’s following of 24.8K were clueless about his involvement, taking to the comments to compliment his performance.

Followers were gobsmacked by the star’s secret talent, with one fan exclaiming: “No way! I’d never have guessed..what a voice”, while another was equally taken aback: “This is mad! Sounds nothing like you.. love it!”

Another fan added: “Wow completely different from Nate. Would love to see u on a TV show in the States using ur American accent!”, and others added to the compliments with “Wow sounding great” and even international fans chimed in: “Watching TV in Canada and just saw one of your ads live!”.

Even Jurell’s fellow cast members from Emmerdale couldn’t resist the chance to sing his praises, as Michelle Hardwick, aka Vanessa Woodfield, joined in saying: “Amazing” complete with praise hand emojis; Beth Cordingly, who stars as Ruby Fox-Miligan, cheered: “Yay you rock!” and Eden Taylor-Draper, the Dale’s Belle Dingle, expressed her surprise with a flurry of shocked and clapping emojis.

Jurell is currently taking to the stage in the UK touring production of Boys from the Blackstuff. The play, written by James Graham, is an adaptation of Alan Bleasdale’s seminal TV drama.

Jurell took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday night to announce: “Opening day in Bath!” with the play’s poster proudly displayed.
