Emotions are running high in Walford and one former couple will find themselves having an emotional moment
EastEnders icon Grant Mitchell, played by Ross Kemp, is set to seek comfort from his ex-wife Sharon Watts, portrayed by Letitia Dean, following recent turmoil in Walford. On Tuesday (February 25) the Square was still reeling from Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) tragic death at The Queen Vic.
The Mitchells are also concerned for Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who attempted suicide and is now receiving help at a mental health unit. However, tensions rose when Grant threatened Sharon’s new boyfriend Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) during a family breakfast at the café.
Later, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) offered support to Grant, advising him not to be too hard on himself and offering words of wisdom about Phil’s depression.

But Grant’s day got worst when he overheard best mate Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) talk about his secret dementia battle with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter).
Wednesday’s trip to Walford (February 26) will see Grant reeling from Nigel’s revelation, leading to a heated argument between the two men. Overwhelmed, Grant seeks solace from the only person he believes can help – Sharon.
Despite their past marriage, Sharon and Grant find themselves growing closer as they share a heartfelt conversation in the wake of last week’s tragic events, reports Plymouth Live.

However, as they rely on each other in their time of need, will the ex-couple act on the palpable chemistry between them?
Last week, Grant put his own life at risk to save his former wife after an explosion at The Queen Vic. Despite Teddy’s objections, Grant later visited Sharon in hospital, sharing a poignant moment as they reeled over Martin’s death and Phil’s suicide attempt.
In another development, when a resident confides a significant secret to a friend, they quickly realise they’ve been overheard. But what is the secret they’re keeping?
EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and iPlayer
