ITV Emmerdale fans ‘freaked out’ over secret message sent by Nate’s ‘killer’

The discovery of Nate’s body has opened up more questions for fans of the Dales

Emmerdale fans admit they’re “freaked out” after it appears that Nate Robinson’s killer has sent Frankie a birthday present on Tuesday’s (February 25) episode.

On Tuesday night, the episode started with Cain knocking on Tracy’s door to wish Frankie a happy birthday. As he approaches the house, he notices a small parcel on their doorstep.

Cain hands over the parcel, and as Frankie opens it Tracy exclaims that it’s from Nate. She then goes onto say she hasn’t heard from him, even after she contacted him about the crash.

She’s not alone, as Cain nods in agreement admitting he has yet to hear from Nate either, wondering why he’s not present on Frankie’s birthday.

Nate Robinson departed the Dales in 2024 after he went in search of a new job opportunity in Shetland. His exit felt rather abrupt, and he hasn’t been heard from since apart from a text to say he had arrived safely.

That was until the aftermath of the limo crash when Amy was plunged into the freezing water and she spots a body floating under the water. Fans were convinced it was Nate as the body was wearing the same bracelet he had on before he “left”.

This theory was confirmed as Amy tried to tell Matty “Nate under the water” before she died from a cardiac arrest.

Viewers were in shock that Nate’s killer – who many fans are convinced is John Sugden – had the audacity to cover their tracks further by sending his daughter a present.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), @Winis_World wrote: “Whoever killed Nate is SICK… because they have sent Frankie a Birthday present on his behalf??”

Similarly on a Facebook fan group, one viewer penned: “Gah ! I’m kinda freaked out that Nate’s killer sent Frankie a gift” as another replied: “made my skin crawl ugh”.

A third viewer questioned: “It’s got to be someone that feels guilty about taking Nate away from his daughter? Someone close to the family?” as a fan responded: “Or just covering their tracks…”

Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
