Daisy was furious as Jenny interfered with her secret
Daisy’s exit storyline started to play out on screen this week, as actress Charlotte Jordan is set to leave the ITV soap. Fans have been guessing the father of Daisy’s baby, after she announced she was pregnant last year.
At the start of Monday’s episode, Daisy Midgeley announced she wanted to leave the cobbles. She told Jenny she found a job as an au pair in France. However, things took a turn as the father of her baby became common knowledge on the street.
Daisy, brought to life by actress Charlotte Jordan, has been at the heart of the cobbles’ drama ever since she arrived on our screens in 2020 as Jenny Connor’s (Sally Ann Matthews) stepdaughter.
The actress has been at the centre of a whirlwind storyline, as Daisy found out she was pregnant last year, and she knew either Daniel Osborne or Kit Green was the father. But after undergoing a DNA test, Daisy decided to keep the father’s identity under wraps.
On Monday, the father was finally revealed, as Daniel told Adam that Jenny had let it slip he was the dad. Delighted, he went to the Rover’s to declare his love for Daisy. He said: “I love you Daisy, I always have and always will” and was excited to be starting a family.
Daniel announced the news to the pub, leaving Daisy panicked, who scolded Jenny for interfering. In a shocking turn of events, she revealed that Jenny had made a mistake and Kit was in fact the biological father, not Daniel.
But before Daisy could speak to Daniel to tell him the truth, he visited Jenny. He admitted he knew about Daisy’s debts to Carla Connor and how he wanted to use Bertie’s trust fund to buy the pub so they could be one big happy family.
A delighted Jenny soon told Daisy the news, urging her to keep quiet and let Daniel think the baby is his. However, Daisy vowed to do the right thing and be honest.
But as the episode came to an end, Daisy attempted to tell the truth but Daniel stopped her. Swept up in the moment, she agreed to take the money.
