Amy saw a dead body floating in the lake but fans are convinced she’ll be killed off before she can share the news
Emmerdale fans were left in shock as further chaos erupted in the Dales as the victims of the limo crash were rushed into hospital after the traumatic limo crash.
On Wednesday’s episode (February 19), chaos erupted at the hospital as the four emergency vehicles screeched into A&E, where young medic Jacob was on shift. His world was shattered when he realised the devastating crash had involved the limousine that his mother Leyla was passenger in.
He became desperate as he raced around the hospital looking in every ward and corridor for her. Unfortunately, fans watched the heartbreaking moment as he made the gut-wrenching discovery that Leyla was pronounced dead upon arrival.
He shared his final goodbye to Leyla as he broke down in tears, bidding farewell to the character that spent 17 years in the Dales before her exit was sealed. It was revealed that Leyla died from “severe blood loss” after she was impaled with a piece of ice during the crash.
Leyla hid her injury from the rest of the group, but shared with Kerry that she was unable to move as the two of them were the last ones remaining inside the limo. Kerry managed to drag her across the ice, but her injury was too traumatic and she died before making it to the hospital.

She became the second confirmed death of the incident after Suzy Merton died from a fatal head injury caused by the impact of the crash. Her body entered the water alongside the limo as it submerged underneath the ice.
As two deaths were confirmed, Liam and Charity spent the episode fighting for their lives. The episode reached a nail biting climax as Amy’s life hung by a thread, with the haunting sound of her heart monitor flatlining echoing through the ward.
Fans were left horrified during Monday’s (17th February) episode when Amy was plunged into the freezing water as the ice cracked beneath her feet. Desperately trying to swim back to safety, Amy struggled to find the entrance and kept pounding on the rock solid ice above her head.
As Amy is trying to claw her way back out she turns and sees a body floating in the water, for viewers all that’s visible is a man’s hand wearing a bracelet. Fans have since theorised that this body could be Nate Robinson who abruptly left the ITV soap in 2024 and hasn’t been heard from since.

Tracy managed to pull her out of the water, but after she struggled in tonight’s episode some fans are convinced that she may die before she tells anyone about the body she saw. As she fought for her life in the hospital, various flashbacks of what she saw in the water flashed up on the screen.
On a Facebook fan page, one viewer wrote: “Amy doesn’t need to survive because Suzy’s body is also in the water” to which another viewer replied: “Ohhh maybe, yeah. If she dies then whoever killed the body that’s in there (probably Nate) will be scrambling around.”
On Reddit, u/Equal-Competition930 echoed: “they may find it when car is moved. Suppose if Amy dies that body will never be found.” As other viewers suggested that Amy would have to live to find Suzy, u/Ok-Autumn wrote: “That doesn’t necessarily mean Amy will live. Divers will be going into the lake to search for Suzy as soon as the ice melts. So they will discover that there is another body there. Even if Amy dies”
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
