Coronation Street fans think they have ‘worked out’ Kit Green’s connection to Mick Michaelis after it was previously teased that they are known to each other.
As fans of the ITV soap know, detective constable Kit arrived on screens last year after Bernie Winter went on a mission to find her long-lost son, Zodia. When she found Kit, as she posed as a cleaner before rifling through his drawers, he lied and said he wasn’t adopted but it was later confirmed that Bernie had found her long-lost son.
He soon made things difficult for Bernie, even attempting to turn her children Paul Foreman and Gemma Winter against her, before Paul’s tragic death seemingly brought them together.
And while he may now not be causing problems for his own family, he’s not too worried about causing problems for others. But Corrie fans think Mick’s arrival in Weatherfield may end up explaining more about Kit’s past.
The newcomer, played by actor Joe Layton, arrived in Weatherfield last week as he followed wife Lou to the cobbles to move into their new home.
Mick and Lou, played by Farrel Hegarty, are part of a new family set to shake-up the cobbles as they’ve been described as ‘nightmare neighbours’ who are willing to make life hell for anyone who dares to cross them.
In their most recent scenes, Corrie fans have seen the couple moving into Mawdsley Street at the back of Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown’s house, which is the first time ever Corrie have extended the serial drama across the ginnel.
But following the latest trip to the cobbles, fans had suspicions about Kit and Mick’s connection. @JennyPe27774388 said: “Watch Mick and Lou. They have a connection with Kit and will dredge up some dirt on him. IMO [in my opinion].” @CarolineSangui1 replied: “Here’s hoping.”
@rednwhite99 commented: “That newcomer Mick is going to be Kit’s foster brother I bet #Corrie.” @swoosh286 added: “Ever since Kit arrived he’s been a mystery. Never talks about himself or his past before Bernie found him,. Fascinating to learn how Mick and Lou know him. Hoping it will bring him down at some point. Shady dealings no doubt.”
It comes after a teaser about Mick and Lou’s arrival revealed the former as being the man with the silver van who has been harassing Chesney, who is none the wiser to who Mick really is, for months.
And after developing a friendship with the Winter-Browns, it’s evident that Mick and Lou are determined to create upheaval, starting with a prior connection to Kit, leading to them exposing his secretive past.
Corrie producer Kate Brooks also previously told us: “”There is a link to Chesney initially, but they are coming to stir up a lot of trouble, and open up the floodgates and unpack the past of one of our big characters, which is Kit. So, really interesting, wonderful and dynamic stuff that’s going to be fantastic. We’re really excited, they come in with oodles of drama.”
