Emmerdale fans are fearing the worst for one character after a chilling clue on Friday night’s episode
Emmerdale fans witnessed a tense moment that could spell doom for one character after a foreboding hint was dropped in Friday’s episode.
The drama unfolded as Jai Sharma, portrayed by Chris Bisson, sought vengeance upon discovering Caleb Miligan, played by Will Ash, had duped him. The pair had previously formed a bond over the summer when Caleb advised Jai on how to shield his wealth from his ex-wife Laurel Thomas, played by Charlotte Bellamy, amidst their divorce.
Their partnership led to Jai investing a hefty sum into what he believed was a joint offshore account and Caleb’s haulage firm. But the truth came crashing down on Friday when Caleb revealed to Jai that there was no financial tie between them and no evidence of any investment in his business.
Caleb coolly brushed off Jai’s threats to involve the police, highlighting that doing so would implicate Jai himself for stashing assets offshore to dodge a divorce payout. Caleb remarked: “A fool and his money, I hope I’ve taught you a valuable lesson.”
The episode reached a climax when Jai, in a fit of rage, vandalised Caleb’s haulage warehouse and cornered him with a forklift. It was then that Caleb’s daughter, Steph Miligan, played by Georgia Jay, stepped in, reports Leeds Live.
She began filming the altercation, cautioning Jai that she’d hand the video to the authorities if he didn’t cease his attempt on her father’s life.
In a shocking turn of events in the latest episode, word spread around the village that Jai had been hoodwinked. A distraught Laurel confronted him, saying: “You hid it from me and the kids, how low can you go?” Jai, adamant to set things right, pledged to recover the lost funds.
After being swindled out of everything, Jai’s thirst for vengeance is at its peak. The question on everyone’s lips is whether he could take extreme action against Caleb especially after Fridays dramatic scene where he cornered the businessman with a forklift.
Emmerdale fans have taken to social media to air their thoughts. One person tweeted: “Finally Jai has realised he’s been conned, he should’ve never trusted Caleb in the first place ! ! ! #Emmerdale.” Meanwhile, another fan pondered the future interactions between Jai and Caleb, tweeting: “Wonder what’s gonna happen between Jai and Caleb #Emmerdale.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
