Fans are worried that Caleb will get on the wrong side of someone in the Dales
Emmerdale fans have ‘sealed’ Caleb Miligan’s fate as they’ve spotted a potential plot hole in his plans for revenge amid Anthony Fox’s murder.
Caleb has become bloodthirsty for revenge after Anthony revealed that Cain and Ruby slept together and hid it from him. While he mentioned it to Cain, his brother denied all knowledge and claimed that Anthony was just trying to cause more trouble.
With all the mind games his father-in-law liked to play, Caleb accepted that Anthony was probably lying to get a reaction out of him. However, in recent episodes fans have watched as his suspicions have started to grow and he’s been struggling to keep his emotions in check.
On Thursday (13th February) night’s episode, Cain was arrested on suspicion of being involved in Anthony’s disappearance, but as the police searched his garage they struggled to find any evidence. However, viewers did see Caleb try and plant Anthony’s tooth in Cain’s car – only for Aaron Dingle to catch him.
It was revealed that Aaron took the tooth back out of Cain’s car and went to confront Caleb about it. While Caleb refused to share what he knew about Cain and Ruby, he did threaten Aaron that he would show the police CCTV footage of Aaron leaving the house with Anthony’s belongings if he was to dob Ruby into the police.
While a startled Aaron did back off, fans are convinced that John Sugden won’t be happy about this confrontation, particularly after he was the one who discarded Anthony’s body.
Oliver Farnworth made his Emmerdale debut in August 2024 and was revealed to be Victoria Sugden’s half-brother due to their shared father. Since he arrived in the village, fans have been wary of his character as not much has been known about him, particularly as his relationship with Aaron escalated fairly quickly.
In recent episodes, John was the one who helped boyfriend Aaron after they found Anthony was dead, he promised Aaron he would handle it and viewers saw him wrap the body up in tarp. However, we never saw where the body left and can only assume it was dumped in the lake after a flashforward on New Year’s Eve saw a body bag being dropped into the water.
After Caleb’s threat to Aaron, fans have theorised that John could try and frame Caleb for killing Anthony as he is the only one who knows where the body is. On an Emmerdale Reddit thread, u/Lego_Panda_Bear wrote: “I think John will use Anthony’s body to frame Caleb if Caleb goes after Aaron.”
Sharing a similar train of thought, one viewer on an Emmerdale Facebook group wrote: “John is the only one who knows where the body is, and Caleb thinks he can talk to Aaron like that without consequences?” to which another viewer replied: “John is about to take him down”.
