Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away legend Alf Stewart will admit he has concerns regarding his future as daughter Roo plans a fightback.

Roo recently returned to Summer Bay after several months away, with the character rushing home after learning that her father hadn’t been his usual self.

After settling back into Summer Bay life, Friday’s (February 14) scenes will see Roo get to grips with her new role as secretary of the Surf Club, though she is soon distracted by Alf’s latest problem.

He shares his dilemma at the Bait Shop, explaining that its future is in doubt after the landlords had increased the rent at the property. He believes that he’s being forced out, though Roo is determined to help him.

Not wanting to go down without a fight, Alf attempts to fight his case with the real estate agent, but is given bad news after he’s informed that the rent increase is set in stone. Feeling beleaguered, he confides to Roo that he may not have much fight left in him.

An embittered Roo assures her father that she still has plenty of fire left in her belly, and vows to help in his cause – will she be able save Alf’s position and secure his future?

The developments come ahead of a brand new Bait Shop being unveiled in Summer Bay. This recently appeared on Australian screens and Emily Symons – who plays Marilyn Chambers on the soap – has since shared a behind-the-scenes photo alongside co-stars Ray Meagher and Georgie Parker.

“Celebrating a new set and a new location for Alf’s Bait Shop so here’s a few family pics I forgot I had 🎣 ➡️☺️ #homeandaway” wrote Symons – who debuted as Marilyn in 1989 – of the new set via Instagram, with Parker adding: “Love these pics.”

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
