A number of women have made allegations of inappropriate behaviour against Gino D’Acampo, who has “firmly denied” the claims, adding that they were “deeply upsetting”
Former Coronation Street actress Vicky Entwistle has spoken out against ITV amid the allegations against TV chef Gino D’Acampo, who is accused of “distressing” and “sexually inappropriate” behaviour by numerous individuals over a 12-year period. While Gino has “firmly denied” the claims, ITV is investigating the matter. Vicky, who left the cobbles 13 years ago, recently posted a photo of the chef on social media, stating: “I don’t know this man personally, therefore have no reason to stick my neck out in his defence.”

She continued: “BUT! ! ! ITV played that man for all he was worth… cheeky, naughty, foreign, hilarious! ! ! It all fitted in 10 years ago… now with a new WOKE agenda they crucify him?!?!” Meanwhile, Gino’s friend and co-star Fred Sirieix appeared to downplay the controversy surrounding the chef over the weekend.
Gino recently uploaded a video on his Instagram during a fan meet and greet, garnering support from Fred, who liked the post. This move came despite Fred’s silence over the swirling allegations against the Italian TV star.

The ITV News probe exposed several claims, with one woman alleging that during a photoshoot Gino told her would “like to turn me over and f* me up the a* against the kitchen counter”. Another alleged feeling uneasy when Gino greeted her in his boxer shorts, making inappropriate jokes about his privates as she was about to brief him for a location shoot, reports the Mirror.
A separate claim accused Gino of threatening a junior member of staff on Gino’s Italian Express. “I was present when Gino said to the runner, ‘If you don’t get me a Cornetto, I will f*** your girlfriend’,” one female crew member said.

Gino “firmly denied” and addressed the accusations in a statement to ITV News, saying: “I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.”
“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately. I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”
