What’s coming up in the village?

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Next week on Hollyoaks, Cleo aims to gatecrash Abe and Peri’s wedding after making a dramatic escape, while Darren returns to the village and Sienna makes amends.

1. Cleo deceives Abe

Cleo has now realised that Abe has been lying to her this whole time, after discovering that his mum Marie is still alive and she didn’t cause her death in the motorbike accident. Cleo told Abe that her eating disorder is worse than ever, and he agreed to marry her the next day.

She plays Abe at his own game and plans her escape, convincing him to let her outside while they say their vows. Cleo explains that she feels she doesn’t have long left to live.

2. Leela remains quiet

Leela isn’t convinced that Abe has truly changed, and she is concerned for her daughter Peri ahead of their wedding.

As Peri’s hen night takes place in The Loft, she is worried about her mum’s wellbeing. She reminds Leela that she can confide in her about anything, but her mum brushes away her concerns.

3. Cleo collapses

For their secret wedding, Abe takes Cleo to the folly, which is decorated for his and Peri’s ceremony the next day. The couple read the vows they have written for one another, but Cleo then collapses.

Abe panics when she is unresponsive, so he wraps Cleo’s body in a blanket and he puts her in his car.

4. Darren returns to the village

Misbah supports Nancy and tries to keep her positive, after she was told that she might be experiencing an MS relapse. Robbie is waiting outside the hospital with flowers for Nancy when Darren turns up. Robbie punches his brother, and he also doesn’t receive a warm welcome from Nancy and Frankie, who are hurt by his disappearance.

Nancy tells her husband that he needs to seek help for his depression and prove he is trying to get better. Jack isn’t ready to talk to Darren, and Nancy says he needs to give his dad time. Will he be able to make amends?

5. Peri is heartbroken

After the events of the previous night, Abe throws away his wedding ring given to him by Cleo. Meanwhile, Marie helps the Lomaxes to get ready for the wedding. Peri tells Leela that if she can’t support her and Abe’s relationship, she shouldn’t come to the wedding.

Marie reassures the bride-to-be that Abe is waiting and ready to marry her. But Peri is devastated when she discovers that Abe isn’t at the folly.

6. Cleo makes her escape

Cleo is woken up by a passer-by down at the riverbank. She is muddy from her dramatic escape, but she sets off to try and stop Abe and Peri’s wedding.

When she manages to stop a passing car, she realises that Pearl is at the wheel, who offers to give her a lift into the village. Will she be able to stop the ceremony?

7. Abe gets nervous

Marie admits that she hasn’t spoken to Abe, and she sets off to search for her son. She finds Abe in his flat, and he admits to his mum that he has done a terrible thing. Marie tells him that he needs to move on, and that marrying Peri will give him a fresh start.

The wedding party are then informed that Abe is on his way, but will everything go to plan?

8. Sienna changes her mind

Sienna finds a picture drawn by her daughter Sophie which shows someone falling out a window – could this be another clue about what happened to Ethan?

Meanwhile, she discovers mud on Martha’s slippers, but she denies going out. Zoe gives Sienna some advice about caring for Martha, after Jez asks her to reach out, but it doesn’t go down well.

Sienna admits to Jez that she believes Martha’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Later, she accepts the olive branch from her family and allows them to move back in with her in time for Christmas.

9. Abe is cornered

A shocking chain of events unfolds at the wedding, and afterwards Mercedes confronts Joel while Marie faces questions from the police. Later, the McQueens team up and Mercedes, John Paul and Theresa confront Abe together. Knowing he is hiding something, they leave him with a warning.
